David Kinley

David Kinley holds the chair in human rights law at Sydney University and is an academic panel member of Doughty Street Chambers in London. He is author or editor of eight books, including Civilising Globalisation: Human Rights and the Global Economy (2009).

Kinley has previously held teaching and visiting positions in universities in Europe, the United States, Hong Kong, South Africa, and the South Pacific, as well as Australia. He has also worked for many years on human rights matters with governments throughout Southeast Asia as well as with the United Nations, World Bank, Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, and several transnational corporations.
