David C. Unger

David C. Unger is adjunt professor of american foreign policy at the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University.

Unger was previously the senior editorial writer on foreign affairs for The New York Times.

Unger worked for The New York Times since 1977. He has written over 3,000 foreign policy editorials for the newspaper.

His books include The Emergency State: America's Pursuit of Absolute National Security at All Costs (2012) and his writing has appeared in World Policy Journal.
