Cheyney C. Ryan

Carnegie Council Senior Fellow

Cheyney C. Ryan is a senior fellow at Carnegie Council, research fellow at Oxford University and a professor of Philosophy and professor of Law at the University of Oregon, where he co-founded the graduate program in conflict and dispute resolution.

He has published widely in the areas of political philosophy, philosophy of law, and continental philosophy. He received the Joseph J. Blau Prize, from the Society for Advancement of American Philosophy, for contribution to history of American philosophy, and was named by the Washington Post as one of nation's 20 leading scholars "on the frontier of peace and conflict studies."
