Caroline Alexander is an author and a journalist. She has written for The New Yorker, Granta, Condé Nast Traveler, Smithsonian, Outside, and National Geographic.
Alexander is the author of numerous books, including The Endurance (Knopf, 1998), The Bounty (Penguin, 2004), and The War That Killed Achilles (Penguin, 2009).
