Ann Cooper

Since 1998 Ann Cooper has served as the executive director of the Committee to Protect Journalists.

Prior to that, she worked for nearly a decade as a foreign correspondent for National Public Radio. As NPR's first Moscow bureau chief, Cooper spent several years covering the fall of the Soviet Union and aftermath.
