Adam Gromis is in his final year of a three-year dual MBA/MPA degree program with New York University's Stern School of Business and Wagner School of Public Service. He is also a 2009-10 fellow of the Catherine B. Reynolds Program for Social Entrepreneurship, focused on better understanding the path toward sustainability in low-income communities. During the summer of 2008, Gromis interned at UTC Power (a United Technologies company), working on strategy and other aspects of the business plan for future zero-pollution transportation innovations.

Prior to coming to NYU, he was the program manager at the California Fuel Cell Partnership (CaFCP), a public-private collaboration between major car and energy companies, government agencies, and technology firms leading the reduction of implementation hurdles for clean, fuel-cell powered transportation. Before starting with the CaFCP in 2002, Gromis worked for a year with the zero-emission vehicle section of the California Air Resources Board. He completed a double major in mechanical engineering and materials science from University of California, Davis.
