Description
As former Goldman Sachs executive Greg Smith laments the "decline in the firm's moral fiber," the Carnegie Council's Workshops for Ethics in Business considers ways financial managers can strengthen the fiber of their organizations.
In this interactive workshop, Dr. Mary Gentile will use her groundbreaking Giving Voice to Values (GVV) approach to engage participants in interactive, problem-solving exercises around scenarios relevant to the financial sector.
Drawing on the experiences of business practitioners as well as cutting edge research, GVV fills a long-standing and critical gap in our understanding of how to enable ethical practice. GVV focuses on ethical implementation and asks the questions: "What if I were going to act on my values? What would I say and do? How could I be most effective?"
Gentile will give participants tools to resist the pressure to report inflated statistics and misinform financial clients.
Julia Taylor Kennedy will moderate this event.
