Finance and the Good Society

Monday, March 26, 2012 8:00 AM to 9:15 AM

Robert J. Shiller

Despite the bad reputation of the financial industry in the aftermath of the financial crisis, finance could be one of the most powerful tools we have for solving our common problems. How can we harness the power of finance for the greater good?

In 2010, Robert J. Shiller was named by Foreign Policy magazine to its list of top global thinkers. In 2011, he made the Bloomberg 50 most influential people in global finance.

Shiller is Arthur M. Okun Professor of Economics at Yale University and a fellow at the Yale International Center for Finance, Yale School of Management.
