This event is held OFF SITE at the Fort Hamilton Army Base.

This second CNL event with Fort Hamilton will focus on young leaders as a strategic asset and provide for a unique platform to discuss leadership questions and national security with senior military officials as well as young officers with battlefield experience.

Topics for discussion include: How is national security doctrine and policy developed in today's volatile, uncertain, confusing, and ambiguous environment? What is the Army's role as the land component partner in the execution of the nation's national security efforts? How do actions of our junior leaders on the battlefield affect the strategic environment in this networked world?

Speakers: Colonel Michael J. Gould (Commander, U.S. Army Garrison, Fort Hamilton), Commander Erin A. McAvoy (U.S. Navy), Captain Albert Vallejos (Southwest Outreach Officer, West Point), Colonel German J. Velez (U.S. ret.)
