Description:

"It clearly can be in the U.S. and the West's strategic interest to help social revolutions fighting for the values we espouse and proclaim." —Anne-Marie Slaughter

Former director of policy planning for President Obama, Anne-Marie Slaughter will reflect on the ethical components of foreign policy at the highest levels of U.S. government. Princeton professor of politics and international affairs and author of The Idea That is America: Keeping Faith with our Values in a Dangerous World, Slaughter is uniquely qualified to assess the opportunities and risks of values-based policies in a complex global network of actors.

Ethics Matter is a monthly series of town hall events with notable policy and academic experts. The events will be taped and distributed for broadcast on television stations across the country. A networking reception will follow the taping.

RSVP is required and seating is limited. The reservation deadline is Thursday, February 9, 2012. Due to the studio recording, latecomers may not be admitted. Suggested Donation: $10.
