"My work is based on the assumption that clarity and consistency in our moral thinking is likely, in the long run, to lead us to hold better views on ethical issues," says Peter Singer.
This conversation will explore Singer's own moral thoughts on issues like animal rights, right to life and global poverty, as well as his commitment to realize those thoughts in daily life.
Ethics Matter is a monthly series of town hall events with notable policy and academic experts. The events will be taped and distributed for broadcast on television stations across the country. A networking reception will follow the taping.
RSVP is required and seating is limited. The reservation deadline is Thursday, September 29, 2011. Due to the studio recording, latecomers may not be admitted. Suggested Donation: $10.
